The Festival of Storytellers Chapter 6 kicked off last January 20, 2025, and will continuously be rolling until February 2—that’s two weeks of non-stop literary discussions and books galore! The day-to-day activities at The Festival of Storytellers are filled with meaningful insights shared through regular Roundtable discussions and Author of the Hour segments, as well as remarkable book recommendations during Book Shoutout sessions.
TFOS 6 Brings Out the (Best of) Storytellers
There are up to three roundtable sessions every day at The Festival. So far, week 1 has touched on a wide variety of subjects and themes, from author-centered discussions to something everyone can learn from, such as Mental Health matters and Self-Discovery. Topics are curated to highlight authors’ stories, experiences, and insights that incite growth and awareness from the audience. The first week showed authors including Book Confab regular Tish Barnhardt and TFOS veteran Bobbie McLaren and Eleanor Gaccetta impress by moderating each of their roundtable sessions—begging the question: What else is there to come?

AOH spotlights an author and their book, allowing them an hour of discussions and sharing insights about their subject and advocacy. Week 1 AOH sessions have spotlighted authors of different genres, from Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets’ enlightening religious material Reclaiming a Christian Moral Compass to David W. Stewart’s explosive sci-fi story Angel of Mortality, and Dora Przybylek’s lens at children’s literature.
Interactive Book Promotions at the TFOS 6
At the heart of The Festival of Storytellers Chapter 6 is the mission of giving authors a stage to promote themselves and their books. Beyond the interviews, this has been made possible through the Book Plug and Book Shoutout segments. In both Book Plug and Book Shoutout, book covers are flashed on the screen—only the former with QR codes for on-screen purchases- and their synopses are spotlighted, allowing the audience to select titles that catch their interest.
These interactive book promotions are just one of the event’s highlights that draw in viewers who actively engage in the comments, airing their interests and curiosity for the digitally displayed books.
Giveaways Drum Up Viewers’ Active Participation
The Festival of Storytellers Chapter 6 will never be complete without contests where lucky viewers could win copies of authors’ books or Kindle devices. Indeed, the giveaways and Kindle raffles are the most awaited segments of the AOH sessions, as well as both the Book Plugs and Book Shout-Outs. Viewers actively participate in the trivia contests, rushing to be the first ones to answer questions correctly in hopes of winning a free book or a Kindle.
