For the fifth consecutive year, ReadersMagnet Self-Publishing will join the world’s biggest library event.
As the pandemic restrictions ease up, more and more book exhibitions and events are returning to physical or in-person setups. One of the most anticipated book exhibitions this year is the American Library Association Annual Conference and Exhibition, popularly known as the ALA book fair. It is organized by the American Library Association, a non-profit organization that promotes libraries and library education not just in the country but also overseas. The American Library Association is the largest and oldest library organization in the United States of America. The association was officially founded on October 6, 1876, during the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Since then, ALA has grown into one of the most respected library organizations in the United States and worldwide.
This year, ReadersMagnet is poised to attend the yearly ALA event held this coming June 23-28, 2022, in Washington DC. It is not the first time that ReadersMagnet will attend the prestigious event. Since 2018, ReadersMagnet has been attending the annual event. ReadersMagnet will be hands-on for the six-day event, handling book display and book signing schedules at the said event. The success of the recently held Los Angeles Times Festival of Books has inspired our team to further bring authors and their stories to other platforms.
The American Library Association Annual Conference and Exhibition is also the world’s biggest library event. Every year, the event gathers thousands of librarians and library staff, people from the academe, teachers, authors, publishers, friends of libraries, and respective trustees. Guests and exhibitors like ReadersMagnet will also be in attendance. The six-day event will feature significant announcements and updates, relevant legislation and policies, and discussions that mainly affect libraries, their roles, and continuous development. Below are some of the programs and other activities you can expect at the annual ALA event:
- Educational programming, created and curated by library professionals
- News You Can Use Sessions with updates that highlight new research, innovations, and advances in libraries
- Memorable and inspiring speakers
- The Library Marketplace with more than 550 participating exhibitors, nine LIVE Stages, ARCs, and more
- Presidents’ and Chair Programs
- The Digital Experience with curated sessions live-streamed directly from Washington, D.C.
- Top-tier authors
- Fun and entertaining networking opportunities to share and connect with peers — and more!
Although the ALA event is mainly geared toward improving library services and providing support to librarians and their career development, it is also an excellent venue for self-published authors to further showcase their books to wider audiences. ReadersMagnet will be joining more than 900 vendors as they display their services, books, technologies, and other products at the American Library Association. Joining the ALA Annual Exhibition helps put your work in front of the library marketplace.
As one of the vendors, ReadersMagnet will focus on book display and book signing events during the week-long book event. The six-day event will be one of the most extended stretches in terms of book displays and exhibitions, giving more exposure and opportunities to participating authors.
So, what are you waiting for? Come join us in participating in the largest library event globally, the American Library Association Annual Conference and Exhibit, happening this June 23-28 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, USA.
