What does it feel like to be a head-turner? Have you experienced when everyone is wearing their best, but they turn to you when you enter the room? Like a woman coming downstairs dressed in a gown of red velvet and lace, with a headdress made of white feathers rising from her auburn hair, ReadersMagnet becomes the finest and most pleasing entity during the New York Library Association Conference & Trade Show.

Well, the NYLA 2022 Conference in Saratoga Springs during the first week of November is not a met gala for celebrities. The event aims to gather librarians, library administrators, academics, innovators, publishers, authors, and literary connoisseurs. ReadersMagnet, a finalist of the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics 2022, is honored to showcase 284 self-published book displays and 10 dignified indie authors for book signings. Once again, the company proves its dedication to the success of independent authors.

Eye-Catching Book Displays

The almost 300 books displayed at NYLA, the Voice of the Library Community, were laid down on the iconic red garments of ReadersMagnet’s booth. The red background enabled the literary masterpieces of indie authors to surface and get noticed. Aside from the eye-catching book covers, the QR codes are also noticeable and intriguing to visitors. Visible enough to spot, a life-size tarpaulin of the plaque received by ReadersMagnet as a finalist during the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics was behind the shelves.

Some of the books exhibited at the NYLA Trade Show are from famous personalities, such as the original Fantastic Four actor Alex Hyde-White and the veteran film and theater actor Jordan Rhodes. Both Alex and Jordan attended the ReadersMagnet Book Confab in Tribeca, NYC before the event in Saratoga Springs. Like everyone else, the two celebrities are proud and excited to join the world of independent authors.

Attention-Grabbing Book Signing

Rotha Dawkins, the author of “On Call” and “Treats & Tales”, captured the moment with her adorable red dress and pleasing smile. The experience is the same with Jeanne Tiefenbach-Henderson (author of “Madonna of the Ways”) and Sue Ann Matinkhah (creator of “Splish Splash Water”). Wayne Scott Harral, the wordsmith behind the science fiction “Moon Luck”, also joined them for the book signing in Saratoga. In addition to the array of reputable authors, we have Timothia Sellers-Hogan, Dorothy Travis Moore, Kennedy Odimba, Steven Nielsen, Gabriella Nagy, and Mark Haddad.

Librarians, academics, publishers, and book lovers approach and greet our authors, excited to sign and share their books. Since the ReadersMagnet’s booth became the center of attraction, the book-signing authors experienced the feeling of a star receiving greetings, respect, and awe from fairgoers. For a while, they have felt that, after all, being a self-published author has no difference from being a traditionally published one.

We at ReadersMagnet are committed to seeking opportunities for indie authors to get heard, like attending reputable book conferences and exhibitions here in the U.S. and Britain.
