The supported self-publishing and book marketing company is about to wrap up its campaign to encourage children’s storywriters to share their work.

ReadersMagnet announced the judges for the 2020 Children’s Story Writing Competition. A panel of three judges – two published authors and a brand and marketing executive – will determine the winner from the 10 finalists selected. The winner will be announced on April 30, 2020 at 3:00 pm, EST and receive a children’s book publishing package worth $2,000.

The Children’s Story Writing Competition aims at encouraging children’s storywriters to share their works with the community and find the right target audience for their narrative. But why a competition on writing children’s books?

ReadersMagnet explained in their criteria for judging, “We are looking for stories that stir our imagination and make us believe in the power of storytelling. Children have imaginative and inventive minds and the stories we tell them should be up to the task.

“Great stories live forever if they carry life values. We are looking for narrative that will become classics because of the lessons they tell.”

The company is thrilled with the panel of judges who share a passion for good stories and the art of storytelling. The three judges are active professionals in their respective fields and very much involved in the book industry for many years in different capacities. Collectively, they will decide the winner based on content (60%), writing style (20%), and readers’ impact (20%).
