With the impending threat of the dragon, Baracken, as well as the werewolf, and The Black Shadow's apparent abandonment of the group, answers and solutions are sought in desperation. The Black Shadow wary of his involvement and fearing the hold over himself and his power may be unraveling, tries to distance himself. Asdella takes an interest in the werewolf in hope of using the creature to her advantage. Candra and Blandorf seek the help of Soolina, her ship known to travel treacherous waters, in hope of finding the ancient woman trapped within an orb who may have the answers they seek. Meanwhile, the people of the valley prepare for the dragon's return.
