Description

My goal is to make this book motivational, inspirational and educational. I try to achieve a mixture of humor, intrigue and a certain amount of suspense in building a word picture in the readers mind, as I reveal the ugliness and the reality of war, along with the suffering and aftermath inside that never leaves a combat soldier after taking the lives of others made in the image and likeness of God Almighty. Killing, maiming and destroying a people we do not know that we have absolutely nothing at all against them personally. Whose job in return is to do the same thing to us. Where our government programs and trains us to become as mad dogs or a pack of hungry wolves chasing down and killing a wounded animal. Then to expect when it’s all over we all go home and return to normal.

Leith Lyman Cunningham

“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones” (Albert Einstein). “Older men declare war. But it is youth that must fight and die” (Herbert Hoover). “Only the dead have seen the end of war” (Plato). “If you win, you need not have to explain . . . If you lose, you should not be there to explain!?” (Adolph Hitler). “There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people” (Howard Zinn). “To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace” (George Washington). “It is impossible to reason without arriving at a Supreme Being” (George Washington). “Better to fight for something than live for nothing” (George S. Patton). “In the absence of orders, go find something and kill it” (Erwin Rommel) “A society will be judged by how it treats its weakest members” (Harry S. Truman). My own battle experience as a front-line combat machine gunner. Unlike the sniper that fires a lethal shot at a specific enemy soldier and instantly sees another human ripped to pieces and dropped stone cold dead on the spot, and then having to live with that image the rest of his life. As a machine gunner one expends hundreds of rounds into enemy soldiers moving toward or away from you, along with other small arms fire or whatever weapons are being used. There will normally be dead and mangled enemy bodies if you go forward after a repelled attack, but no one knows whose bullet or weapon done the damage. In either case however, war is absolute insanity and may Jesus Christ return to earth to establish the kingdom of God here and do away permanently with war and the killing of Gods children.
