Son of God: A Novel of Innocence Rediscovered tells the triumphant story of a deeply conflicted man named Gabriel. Gabriel is gay and is married to a woman, a life that directly opposes the truth of who he is. Gabriel is terrified to admit this core truth to himself. Set in Brooklyn, NY, during the early 2000s, it explores the specific fears that closeted gay men are terrified of facing, in particular, the fear that even being thought of as gay will be emasculating.
