Our journey in this life is similar to the journey of the Israelites to the Promised Land. God wanted the Israelites to know that it was God who was saving them from slavery in Egypt; that they would get out of Egypt not because of their own power, but because of God’s power. Many of the Israelites doubted that God could or would do what God said He would and could do. Their desert journey was a test of their faith in God. It took them 40 years to pass the test. May the reflections in “Harden Not Your Heart” serve as reminders that our journey in life is a test, too.
