Description

Four Minutes After Midnight: A Moment in Eternity is the culmination of Sanjay Srivatsa’s decades-long promise to tell his father’s erstwhile undisclosed wartime story. Using original letters, photographs, official documents, and his father’s own handwritten notes, Srivatsa spent more than ten years corroborating a life lived in secrecy – escaping occupied Singapore, surviving the bombings in Japan, broadcasting for the Indian Independence League, and serving with the U.S. Eighth Army before a wrongful British capture.

Built from interviews across Southeast Asia and evidence safeguarded for generations, this book blends memoir, cultural travelogue, and historical investigation. It offers an authentic, newly revealed perspective on WWII Asia and the Indian independence movement – told at last, exactly as it was meant to be.
