I am an Army brat. After spending time in many different places, I managed to spend my high school years in St. Petersburg, Florida. I was 18 years old when I joined the Navy. I spent six years in the Navy as a cook. I wanted to change my job, so I enlisted in the Air Force, where I was an air traffic controller. I retired from the military after serving for almost thirty years. In the civilian community, I worked as a chef and a restaurant manager. I am currently widowed, but somehow with the help of my wife, I managed to raise two boys and two girls. I am currently a grandfather to nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
