The New York Library Association (NYLA) is affiliated with the American Library Association (ALA) as the New York chapter. The goal of NYLA aims to lead, educate, and advocate for the advancement of the New York library community.

The NYLA Annual Conference is the largest state library association conference held on the East Coast. It is one of the best state library shows in the U.S. Hundreds of librarians, trustees, and library supporters from school, academic, public, and special libraries throughout New York State attend the Conference to take part in various programs and special events.

Attendees also look forward to the Trade Show, where exhibitors display the latest and most innovative products and services geared toward the library community.

The 2022 NYLA Annual Conference will focus on NYLA’s future and the future of its members and their libraries. Attendees will tackle the lessons brought forth by the pandemic and inequalities in the past two years. The Conference will strive to bring many voices to the table, listen to various perspectives without judgment, and help members see the infinite possibilities instead of the inside of the boxes that they put themselves and others in.
