Guadalajara International Book Fair

In November, ReadersMagnet will venture across the pond to get soaked in a cultural festival unique from other literary events around the globe. As we strive to be globally competitive and globally connected, we allow our self-published clients to build connections and gain exposure in the most important publishing gathering in Latin America.

The Guadalajara International Book Fair, or FIL, is back for its 37th year of literary celebration. The event is organized annually by the University of Guadalajara and held at the Expo Guadalajara –the most dynamic, versatile, and important convention center in Mexico.

Over 800,000 attendees are expected to participate this year.

During the nine days of the fair, the public listens to their favorite authors; the book industry turns Guadalajara into its heart; and the city is filled with music, art, cinema, and theater from the country or region Guest of Honor. This year’s Guest of Honor is the European Union.
