The Guadalajara International Book Fair, better known as the FIL (from its Spanish name Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara), is the largest book fair in the Americas and the second largest book fair in the world. Every year, over 2,000 publishers from 47 countries and 800,000 people attend the fair.
The FIL is also the most important publishing event in the Spanish-speaking world. The nine-day book fair offers readers firsthand access to Spanish language content. It provides authors, publishers, booksellers, distributors, rights agents, and other book industry professionals an excellent opportunity to break into the Latin American market.
