2020 FRANKFURT
INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

Event Date: October 11, 2020 – October 15, 2020 Location: Frankfurt, Germany Deadline: August 28, 2020
The Frankfurt Book Fair, otherwise known as the Frankfurter Buchmesse, is the largest book trade fair in the world in terms of both the publishing companies represented and the number of visitors. It is also the largest trading place for rights and licenses.
Being a trade fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair is a meeting place for authors, publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers, and other industry professionals. The first three days are restricted exclusively to international deals and trading, where trade visitors come to get updates on industry issues and trends, network, engage in dialogue and debate, and negotiate publishing rights and licensing, among other activities.
The last two days of the Frankfurt Book Fair is then open to the general public. This grand social and cultural event draws in more than 285,000 visitors, 7,500 exhibitors from over 100 countries, and around 10,000 journalists and bloggers to fill up over 4,000 events, including conferences and workshops. Visitors will feast their eyes on the tremendous display of more than 300,000 books and electronic products.
