2020 AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

MIDWINTER

Event Date: January 24, 2020 – January 27, 2020
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Deadline: December 25, 2019

The American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Conference brings together thousands of librarians and information industry professionals, as well as educators, writers, publishers, exhibitors, and others to explore new opportunities and find new books and services for the people they serve.
The ALA Midwinter Conference features meetings, programs, panel discussions, in-depth conversations, and exhibits. Attendees look forward to the main author program, auditorium speaker series, and the opening and closing sessions.
However, the spotlight of the event is the award ceremonies. The ALA hands out awards in different categories under the Youth Media Awards, which celebrates the best in children and young adult literature and media, and the Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction, which is dedicated to book and reference sources for adults.
