At last, the most awaited in-person event for ALA’s The Library Learning Experience will be coming to New Orleans this midwinter. The future is now about to arrive, and the ALA Midwinter Meeting will remain in the past. ReadersMagnet is ready to remake history.

ReadersMagnet, a self-publishing and marketing firm in California, is well-prepared for the arrival of next year’s ALA LibLearnX. Inaugurated virtually as the ALA Midwinter Meeting last year, LibLearnX will now be an in-person event. Also called LLX, ALA LibLearnX will take place in the historic place of New Orleans, Louisiana on January 27 to 30, 2023.

What to Expect

The Library Learning Experience (LLX) or LibLearnX is a collaborative learning experience designed by the American Library Association (ALA). It aims to motivate, inspire, and engage in discussions that will shape the future of libraries and their communities.

Focusing on education, participants expect to have a high level of educational discussion, hands-on interaction, and reliable information. Aside from librarians, educators, and library administrators, authors are also welcome for inclusive programs and collaborative activities.

Special Event Features

As a non-profit organization, ALA is committed to providing community service. LibLearnX will conduct its ALA Give Back program in collaboration with 826 New Orleans. This is on top of the I Love My Librarian Awards, LLX Digital Experience, and Youth Media Awards.

The event will also have Book & Media Awards for the highly regarded “Best of” lists used by librarians, publishers, and booksellers nationwide. The recognition includes The Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction. It’s an excellent way to recognize the contributions of authors, especially in a world where everyone is battling against misinformation and disinformation.

Book and Author Exhibits

Publishers and self-published authors are close partners and collaborators of educators and librarians. As such, ReadersMagnet, the only publishing finalist of the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics 2022, will be bringing indie books and authors to the ALA LibLearnX.

ReadersMagnet targets to display about 160 books at the exhibition of The Library Learning Experience. About eight self-published authors invited by the company are also excited to meet and greet fairgoers during their book signing. The iconic red linens of ReadersMagnet will be laid down again to showcase the literary masterpieces of independent authors, artists, poets, and writers alike.
